South Korean K-pop group BIGBANG has officially announced the schedule for its upcoming reunion world tour, marking the group’s return to the stage as a trio consisting of G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung.
The tour will begin in Goyang, South Korea, on 21 August 2026 before travelling to several cities across Asia, including Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.
The announcement has been welcomed by fans, known collectively as VIPs, who have been waiting for the group’s return to large-scale touring activities.
The upcoming concerts will provide audiences with an opportunity to see the three members perform together live following years of limited group activities.
According to the schedule released by the group, the Southeast Asian leg of the tour will include a performance in Singapore on 17 October 2026, followed by Bangkok on 7 November 2026. BIGBANG will then continue to Kuala Lumpur on 9 January 2027 before concluding the regional run with a concert in Jakarta on 16 January 2027.
Jakarta Concert Scheduled for JIS
In Indonesia, BIGBANG is set to perform at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in North Jakarta. The venue, which has hosted several major international music events in recent years, is expected to accommodate thousands of fans from across the country and neighbouring nations.
Promoters have yet to release further information regarding ticket sales, seating plans and pricing. Additional details are expected to be announced in the coming months.
The Jakarta concert will mark one of the group’s most anticipated appearances in Indonesia, where BIGBANG has maintained a strong fan base throughout its career.
The group’s music continues to attract listeners across generations, with many of its songs remaining popular on streaming platforms years after their original release.
A New Chapter for One of K-pop’s Most Influential Groups
BIGBANG debuted in 2006 under YG Entertainment and originally consisted of five members: G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung, T.O.P and Seungri. Over the years, the group became one of the most commercially successful and influential acts in the Korean music industry.
The group’s line-up changed significantly in recent years. Seungri departed in 2019 following his involvement in the Burning Sun scandal, while T.O.P ended his activities with the group after participating in the release of the 2022 single “Still Life”.
Despite these changes, BIGBANG remains one of the most recognised names in K-pop.
The group has sold millions of albums worldwide and produced numerous hit songs that contributed to the global expansion of Korean popular music.
The forthcoming reunion tour represents the first large-scale world tour featuring G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung since the group’s restructuring.
Industry observers expect strong demand for tickets across multiple cities, reflecting the enduring popularity of the veteran act nearly two decades after its debut.
