Two Australian nationals were shot by unidentified individuals on the morning of Saturday, 14 June 2025, at the Casa Santisya 1 Villa, located on Jalan Pantai Munggu Seseh Gang Maja, Banjar Sedahan, Munggu Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency, Bali.

The fatal incident resulted in the death of Zivan Radmanovic, aged 33, at the scene. A second victim, Sanar Ghanim, aged 19, sustained multiple injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at BIMC Hospital in Kuta, Bali.

According to Bali Police Public Relations Head, Commissioner Ariasandy, the suspected perpetrators are two individuals believed to be of Australian nationality.

“A joint team of Bali Police has gone to the field to help Badung Police uncover the shooting case. We will conduct a thorough investigation and gather information to find the perpetrators,” he stated on Sunday, 15 June 2025, as reported by MetroNews.

The attack occurred within the villa premises, and initial findings at the scene revealed 17 spent bullet casings, 2 whole projectiles, and 55 projectile fragments scattered in the area. Police have since launched a joint investigation team between the Bali Police and Badung Resort Police.

Suspects Identified by Witnesses as Australians

Several witnesses at the scene reported that the two assailants spoke with strong Australian accents.

One suspect was observed wearing a bright orange jacket and a dark helmet, while the second individual wore a green jacket resembling that of an online motorcycle taxi driver, also with a dark helmet and a face covering.

“The perpetrators are suspected to be two people, one man wearing a bright orange jacket with a black or dark helmet riding a motorcycle (automatic) with a thick Australian accent,” Commissioner Ariasandy confirmed, as quoted by ANTARA.

The second suspect, also male, was described as wearing a green jacket, a dark mask, and a helmet. Witnesses stated he, too, spoke with a noticeable Australian accent.

One witness, who observed events from a door gap, reported hearing one of the men say, “I can’t start my bike,” before both suspects fled the scene westwards on motorcycles once the vehicle was operational.

As of now, authorities are still pursuing the suspects and working to uncover their motives.

An autopsy of the deceased has been conducted at Prof Ngoerah Hospital in Denpasar, while the injured victim remains hospitalised for treatment and further questioning.

Police continue to gather statements from witnesses and process the physical evidence in order to identify and apprehend the two men involved in the shooting.
