British Child in Bali Allegedly Kidnapped by Biological Father

A British boy, identified as Georgie, also known by the initials SEB (8), was reported missing outside his residence on Jalan Tukad Punggawa I, Serangan Village, South Denpasar District, Bali. The incident quickly went viral, with initial fears of a kidnapping.

However, police investigations have revealed that Georgie was not taken by a stranger. The child was allegedly taken by his biological father, identified by the initials BJWB, and flown to South Tangerang without the knowledge of his mother, K, who is Georgie’s legal guardian. It is understood that the couple are divorced.

“We followed up on a report of an alleged child abduction case that occurred on Tukad Punggawa I Street,” said Head of Public Relations for the Denpasar Police, AKP I Ketut Sukadi, in a press statement issued on Tuesday, 22 April 2025, as reported by Detiknews.

According to police, the incident was captured on CCTV installed at the house where Georgie resides with his mother. The footage reportedly shows the moment Georgie was taken by his father, BJWB, shortly after the boy had gone outside to collect a food delivery from an online motorcycle taxi driver.

Investigators have confirmed that Georgie was flown to South Tangerang on a Super Air Jet flight from Bali on 21 April 2025 at 8 p.m.

“This is reinforced by evidence in the form of a video of togetherness between father and daughter,” Sukadi added.

Sukadi also noted that the police had made contact with BJWB regarding the incident. During the communication, the father confirmed that Georgie was in good health and expressed a willingness to reunite the child with his mother following discussions between both parents.

“Currently, mediation is still being carried out with the two parents of the child so that the problem can be resolved in a family manner,” Sukadi concluded.
