A Tronton Truck Causes Devastating Head-On Collision in Slipi, Jakarta

After the traffic accident in Cipularang yesterday, there was another horrendous traffic accident that claimed many lives.

A tronton truck crashed into eight trucks at the Slipi traffic light, West Jakarta on Tuesday (11/26) morning.

“07.00 A tronton truck experienced brake failure & crashed into 8 vehicles at Traffic Light Slipi, West Jakarta, 1 victim died and is currently still being handled by Police officers,” said a statement in an upload on the X @TMCPoldaMetro social media account.

The photo uploaded by the account shows the truck hitting cars and motorbikes at the scene.

Still, based on the uploaded photo, one motorcycle was seen under the car’s undercarriage due to the accident.

One person was killed when a truck allegedly lost control because the brakes were not working properly at a red light (TL) in Slipi, West Jakarta, Tuesday at 07.00 WIB.

“One dead, three seriously injured, one slightly injured,” said the Head of the Traffic Accident Section of the Subdirectorate of Development and Law Enforcement of the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Diella Kartika Artha, in his statement, in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Diella also mentioned that seven vehicles were involved in the truck accident: one four-wheeled vehicle and six motorcycles.

Update: Casualties Increased by 1 person

The number of fatalities in a chain reaction accident involving a tronton truck at the Slipi red light, West Jakarta, Tuesday morning has increased to two people. All of the victims were motorcyclists.

As reported by Kompas, the victim of the accident who died was AL (31), a Honda Vario motorcycle rider with police number B 6022 PYA.
