It was previously reported that Indonesian President Prabowo is committed to building the North Bali Airport. In an event in Bali, Prabowo also revealed that he wants Bali to be developed like The New Singapore or The New Hong Kong.

This signal emerged from not only Prabowo but also the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development (Menko IPK) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and the Acting Governor of Bali Sang Made Mahendra Jaya.

Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono revealed that the airport project plan is still being studied. According to him, the plan must be prepared in detail.

The airport development also received support from the former Governor of Bali, Made Mangku Pastika, and Puri leaders throughout Bali, who have long supported the construction of the North Bali Airport.
