Team Indonesia’s uniform at the Paris 2024 Olympics was officially launched. Partnering with designer Didit Hediprasetyo, he said that the inspiration for the uniform was taken from the song Berkibarlah Benderaku.

This collection, with its simple yet modern and stylish design, is a perfect blend of fashion and functionality.

The launch was held at Nusantara Garden, The Darmawangsa Jakarta, on Thursday, June 4, 2024.

The launch and exhibition of the Indonesian national team jersey was attended by Chef de Mission Anindya Bakrie, Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) Raja Sapta Oktohari, Didit as the designer, and swimming athlete Joe Aditya Wijaya Kurniawan.

“I was looking for inspiration for this collection, so I found it while listening to Berkibarlah Benderaku again. Red symbolizes gallantry, and white symbolizes purity,” Didit said, as reported by DetikSport.

Inspired by the Indonesian flag, the official uniform consists of two colors: red and white, and black with red and white stripes. Various accessories, such as bags and hats, and team wear, such as jackets and training pants, are also included.

It doesn’t involve too many complicated designs, but the dynamic curved lines that divide the two colors in this jersey top make it look attractive.

For the image design, the jersey has a Garuda bird emblem on the left chest, and the logo of the sponsor, Li-Ning, is on the right.

Didit Hediprasetyo, the son of Indonesia’s president-elect Prabowo, was chosen as the designer of this Olympic fashion because the Olympics this time are held in Paris, the world’s fashion center.

Indonesia will send dozens of athletes to compete in several sports. The Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) also sent some of the best athletes to hunt for medals at this four-year sports event.

The Olympics is a prestigious multi-event event held every four years. Previously, Paris had already hosted the 1900 and 1924 Olympics, becoming the second city to have hosted the Olympics three times after London, England.

182 countries will participate in the 2024 Olympics. A total of 32 sports and 329 different numbers will be competed in.
