The location is indeed known to be exotic because it is on the side of the road flanked by two large mountains, Mount Sumbing and Sindoro.

Tourist Misbehavior Prompts Japanese Government to Close Mount Fuji Views

On the other hand, the convenience store in Japan, which is famous for its beautiful backdrop of Mount Fuji, has apparently experienced an increase in tourists.

The local residents, who claimed to be fed up with the attitude of tourists who wanted to take pictures in front of this minimarket, finally decided to install a net covering the view.

However, the 2.5-meter-high, 20-meter-wide black net installed to block Mount Fuji’s view in Japan did not discourage recalcitrant tourists from taking photos.

Unfortunately, about a week after it was installed on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the local government reported that about ten small holes the size of a finger had dotted the net.

The unnamed official said they had stationed security guards to watch the black net between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. local time. The holes now found in the giant barrier, he said, must have been created without guards.
