Reportedly, the Russian tourist resided in the Amed Beach area, Purwakerti Village, Karangasem, Bali on 21st March 2024. According to Antara News Bali, the Russian tourist arrived in Indonesia via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on 23rd February 2023, utilizing a visit visa on arrival (VoA) for vacationing in Bali. Her visa is set to expire on 23rd March 2024, and she is scheduled for deportation by Bali Immigration.

“We appreciate the community’s involvement in upholding a conducive environment by reporting any foreigners engaging in disruptive activities or failing to comply with regulations/customs,” stated Hendra Setiawan, Head of the Singaraja Immigration Office, in a statement on the immigrationsingaraja.kemenkumham website.

According to official records from the Singaraja Immigration Office, six foreign tourists were deported to their home countries between January and February 2024 for violating immigration and law enforcement regulations. In 2023, a total of 17 foreign tourists were deported by Bali Immigration in Singaraja.

Instances of misbehaviour by foreign tourists in Bali are not uncommon. There have been frequent reports of tourists causing disturbances on the streets and damaging property in cafes and restaurants. Bali Immigration remains vigilant in monitoring and tightening regulations for all incoming foreign tourists to prevent further incidents that could tarnish the image of Bali’s tourism industry.
