Various international singers, including Ed Sheeran, Jonas Brothers, and Coldplay, have utilized the newly introduced music performer visa issued by Indonesian Immigration. This visa category is exclusively designed for foreign artists intending to conduct short-term concert activities or events in Indonesia.

The implementation of the music performer visa represents a significant initiative by the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration aimed at facilitating musicians and their teams in organizing concert events within Indonesia. This policy is anticipated to stimulate greater interest among music promoters in arranging diverse international concerts in Indonesia, thereby contributing to enhancing tourism activities.

With this visa, the government streamlines the process for international musicians wishing to perform in Indonesia, eliminating the requirement for a work permit, a police record certificate (SKCK), or a certificate demonstrating at least five years of work experience.
