The sequence of events leading to the rape involved the tour guide accompanying the victim and her companion during their vacation in Bali. On Wednesday, 7th February  2024, Faisal escorted the victim to a nightclub, after which the Chinese tourist requested a return to their hotel in the Nusa Dua area.

Around 1 AM local time, Faisal suddenly parked his car at a hotel on Pratama Street in Tanjung Benoa, South Kuta. Subsequently, he asked the victim to assist him in delivering a gift to his friend, who apparently couldn’t do so personally. Meanwhile, unaware of the perpetrator’s sinister intentions, the victim’s friend remained in the hotel parking lot.

Tragically, the victim complied with the tour guide’s request and found herself trapped in a hotel room with the perpetrator. Shortly thereafter, he swiftly locked the bedroom door and subjected the victim to rape. The victim, with her face covered by a pillow, was rendered defenceless during the ordeal.

As time passed, the victim’s friend grew suspicious as neither the perpetrator nor the victim returned to the parking lot. As a result, she alerted hotel security and together they forcibly gained entry to the room.

“At that moment, the perpetrator attempted to flee, but the victim’s companions, along with hotel security, successfully appreciated him,” stated Sukadi.

The perpetrator was productively detained by hotel security and handed over to the Bali police. For his comprehensible actions, the tour guide will face charges under Article 285 of the Criminal Code, which carries a potential sentence of up to 12 years in prison.
