A video from @givewithelias, known as Rescue Brothers, unexpectedly gained popularity as it captured a surprising encounter with ‘abang ojol’, an online taxi driver on 17th January 2024. The sequence of events unfolded when Elias found himself pushing his motorcycle on a road in Bali due to running out of fuel.

Shortly thereafter, an online taxi driver, known as ‘abang ojol’ approached him, expressing a willingness to assist. Inquiring about Elias’ motorcycle, the driver promptly helped push the motorbike to the nearest gas station.

 


After a brief stop on the roadside, Elias decided to surprise the ‘abang ojol’ with some money, expressing gratitude for the online taxi driver’s willingness to help him.

“Whoever helps me first, I will give them a reward,” stated Elias. The online taxi driver was taken by surprise and expressed gratitude to Elias.

Following the incident, the ‘abang ojol’ inquired about the condition of Elias’ motorbike. Elias reassured him that the motorbike was in good condition and hadn’t run out of gas or suffered any damage.

Elias Araya is recognized as a content creator who actively aids people, documenting such moments on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Rescue Brothers are acknowledged for sharing heartwarming videos showcasing the assistance they provide to various individuals.

The video of The Rescue Brother aiding the ‘abang ojol’ has garnered over 2.7 million views on Instagram. In the comment section, numerous individuals expressed being deeply moved by Elias’ actions. Many netizens also commended Elias for creating content that spreads joy by extending help to those in need. Despite the rising instances of bad behaviour by some foreign tourists in Bali, there are still many tourists who show respect and a genuine willingness to help, upholding Balinese tradition.
