“Initially, the Bogor City Government is preparing a Mayor Regulation (Perwali) regarding assignments to PTP (Perumda Trans Pakuan), which will be tasked with finalizing the results of feasibility studies (FS) conducted by various parties,” stated Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A Rachim, in a written statement on Tuesday (16/1/2024).

For the execution of the tram project, the Bogor government has enlisted the assistance of Colas Rail from France. The project will consist of four tram corridors to be constructed in the Bogor city area, with specific details.

  • The first tram corridor will span from the Baranangsiang area, traversing Otista Street, Ir. H. Juanda Street, Captain Musseen Street, Alun-alun Bogor, Sawojajar, Sempur, and concluding at Baranangsiang. This corridor will feature a total of 8 bus stops.
  • The second tram corridor is set to link Warung Jambu to the Bogor City Court area, encompassing a total of 10 stops.
  • The third tram corridor will connect the Warung Jambu area to Lippo Plaza Bogor, featuring a total of 12 stops.
  • The fourth tram corridor is planned to connect the Baranangsiang Bus Terminal area and Plaza Ekalokasari, comprising a total of 12 stops.

The introduction of the tram project aims to streamline the movement of individuals seeking seamless integration with the Jakarta area through the use of public transportation. The Central Government has conducted mapping at various locations, envisioning Bogor as a city oriented toward public transport in the coming years, with the potential to alleviate traffic congestion.
