Throughout December 2023, the sunny weather in Jakarta facilitated tourists’ access to the Thousand Islands via tourist boats. Mu’min, the Head of the Thousand Islands Class IV Port Authority Office, highlighted the increased ease of access to various tourist attractions on the islands, with numerous ships actively catering to passengers.

Projections indicate that over 300,000 local and foreign tourists will visit Thousand Islands Jakarta in 2024. As of August 2023, data from the Tourism Office recorded 295,221 tourists who had already visited.

The intensified promotion on social media and various DKI Jakarta government initiatives are expected to contribute to the surge in tourist numbers significantly.
