The Chinese tourist was discovered shortly after floating face-down in the ocean. Nicolas Benjamin Schindler, a French traveller who was staying at the same villa, was the first person to found her lifeless body.

The witness was using his laptop while seated in the property’s yard. “He saw the victim floating face down in the middle of the sea,” Sudiana said.

Nicolas was so shocked that he immediately informed the villa’s management about the incident. The Chinese tourist was dragged to the shore by both of them. The incident was then reported to the police by villa staff members.

Officers from the Tejakula Police Department and a medical crew from the Tejakula Health Centre arrived at the crime scene. No evidence of violence was discovered on the body of the Chinese tourist, according to the assessment done at the crime scene.

“For the time being, her body remains in the Sanglah General Hospital in Denpasar, along with a request for an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death. Tejakula Police are still in charge of this matter,” Sudiana added.
