The Governor of South Sulawesi, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, through his statement in Makassar, said that this financial assistance could be used for complete road construction to the Ollon attraction in 2023.

“Funds of IDR 27 billion for the Fiscal Year 2023 financial assistance from the Province of South Sulawesi to the Tana Toraja Regency Government for the completion of the road Ollon tour,” said Andi Sudirman

He hopes that the road will allow all vehicles to reach Oron’s tourist attractions. In a report to the Governor, the final progress is that it paved 90% of 5 km, but there is still 6 km that needs work.

It is expected to be completed in 2023, allowing cars to drive into Oron. “The goal of completing the road to Oron can be realized in the first half of 2023,” said Andy Sudirman.

Meanwhile, the ticket assistance support introduced this year will continue next year. “This aid will also be used to subsidize air tickets for the Toraja-Balikpapan route,” he said.

Apart from that, Andy Sudirman also took time to test the excellent Tana Toraja produce such as Toraja coffee and Katkon Lombok at the Tana Toraja Local Food Exhibition.

Tana Toraja’s regent Theophilus Arorelun thanked the Governor of South Sulawesi Province for his efforts in tourism development in Toraja.

“We continue to build new tourist destinations like Sarira in Makare Utara and Oron in Bongakaladen. Thank you for your support Governor.
