A video capturing a Mitsubishi Xpander car colliding with a Porsche 911 GT3 at a luxury showroom in the PIK area has sparked viral attention. This incident took place on Wednesday, 13th March 2024, at 11 AM, resulting in the shattering of the metal glass panel in the showroom and damage to the parked Porsche 911 GT3.
Following an investigation by the Teluknaga police, it was discovered that the driver of the Xpander car, identified as JS (42 years old), was intoxicated at the time of the accident due to alcohol consumption. According to authorities, JS had been drinking alcohol at his residence near the showroom earlier that morning.

However, JS lost control of the car while driving, resulting in a collision with the luxury car showroom. The showroom owner declined any settlement and demanded compensation from JS for the damages incurred. The total estimated loss amounted to IDR 5.7 billion, as confirmed by the showroom manager.
“His admission was straightforward; he expressed willingness to take responsibility for the damages. He stated, ‘I am prepared to cover the costs.’ That’s what he conveyed after we detained him. He assured, ‘I will compensate for the damages soon,'” stated AKP Wahyu, Chief of the Teluknaga Police.
The driver of the Xpander car has now been identified as a suspect and faces charges under articles 200 and 406 of the Criminal Code, about intentional property damage. The video of the collision quickly spread on social media platforms. However, the victim’s showroom has refrained from making any statements via their official Instagram account as the matter is still under investigation.
From the circulating videos and photos, it’s evident that the Porsche 911 GT3, valued at IDR 8.9 billion, was struck by a collapsing building frame, resulting in severe damage to its front hood.
Police are actively gathering information from five witnesses present at the car showroom during the incident, including the showroom manager, marketing personnel explaining products, and the security officer stationed outside the showroom.
