Rock Invasion Tour Promotes Latest Album ‘Aghori Mhori Mei’
The tour supports the band’s most recent studio album, Aghori Mhori Mei, released in August 2024. This album continues The Smashing Pumpkins’ legacy of sonic experimentation, following their previous conceptual project, Atum.
Formed in 1988 in Chicago by Billy Corgan, James Iha, D’Arcy Wretzky, and Jimmy Chamberlin, The Smashing Pumpkins rose to prominence in the 1990s as one of the most influential bands of the alternative rock movement.
Their 1995 album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness sold over four million copies and received six Grammy nominations. Notable tracks such as “Bullet with Butterfly Wings”, “Disarm”, and “Today” remain defining works of modern rock.
This Jakarta concert marks the band’s return to Indonesia since their performance at Java Rockin’ Land in 2010. Fans are advised to await further announcements regarding ticketing details and the event organiser.
