There is a new party capital making a name for itself located in Bali! Once a sleepy surfer village in southern Bali, Canggu is fast becoming the party capital of Asia and, possibly, the world.

Canggu is located on the south coast of Bali, Indonesia, west of Kuta, Seminyak and Legian. Over the past 25 years, each has developed into a world-renowned party destination. Canggu has grown rapidly over the past decade, leading to the development of luxury beach clubs, luxurious and affordable accommodations and must-see nightlife.

The Beach Clubs

Canggu’s party scene is perhaps best known for its beach clubs. All of this has played a big part in making the area popular. Widely regarded as the best beach club in Bali, Finn’s Beach Club offers a choice of 4 pools, 8 bars (2 of which are swim up!) and 5 restaurants. The venue features live DJs daily and faces Berawa Beach. Take your seat for a spectacular sunset, turn up the music and party all night when the skies darken.

How to Obtain The Permit

There are two options for travellers to stay in Canggu. First option is the 30-day tourist visa on arrival, available to citizens of 75 countries, including the United States. The visa costs IDR 500,000 (USD 33) and is valid for 30 days. Once extended, it can be extended for another 30 days.

Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism has announced that digital nomads can live in Bali’s digital nomadic cities like Canggu on B211a socio-cultural visas. This is valid for 60 or 180 days and can be processed online. A 180-day visa costs IDR 6,000,000 (USD 400) and it takes 4 days to process after the relevant documents are submitted.
