Foreign Tourist Surprises Online Motorcycle Driver with His Favorite Food

Share:

Stories about online motorcycle taxi drivers often steal the show. Not only sad stories but also fun ones, like when an online motorcycle driver was treated to food.

In a video posted by the @warrenrobie account, a foreign tourist asks an online motorcycle taxi driver about his favorite local stall in Bali.

The online motorcycle taxi driver immediately smiled and said yes to the question. They immediately went to one of the simple local stalls that sells Balinese specialties.

Along the way, both introduced themselves. This illustrates how warm the interaction of online motorcycle drivers with foreign tourists in Bali is.

It’s no wonder that many videos show online drivers, such as Gojek or Grab (two online motorcycle brands in Indonesia), becoming a favorite mode of transportation for foreign tourists.

When he arrived at the local stall recommended by the driver, the foreign tourist invited him to eat together. The tourist also surprised the driver by buying his favorite food.

Although it was simple and not much, many comments praised the action. Some also mentioned that they would copy the action in the video.

“I LOVE this idea!!! I’m gonna have to try this out next time I’ll be in Bali again 😂😆,” wrote one netizen.

The popularity of online motorcycles in Bali

There are several viral videos by foreign tourists in Bali involving online motorcycle taxis. At the beginning of the year, there was the Hug Your Driver trend. Circulating videos dominated by foreigners, both women and men, appear to hug the online motorcycle drivers they use.

Some of the drivers seemed confused by their passengers’ behavior, but not a few looked excited, smiled, or even posed.

Another trend among foreign tourists is to sport online motorcycle jackets as a fashion statement, adding a touch of style to their Bali experience.
