EXO Announce Their ‘Glow to You’ Meet and Greet Event in Jakarta This August

This August, the K-pop boyband EXO will host a meet-and-greet event in Jakarta dubbed “Glow to You.” In collaboration with the cosmetic company Scarlett Whitening, which an Indonesian actress and host Felicya Angellista formed, EXO’s forthcoming “Glow to You” meet and greet will take place on the 23rd of August at Jakarta’s Beach City International Stadium. The boyband was formally introduced as the company’s newest “glow ambassador” in mid-June 2023.

According to the newly released poster for the event, only six of the boyband’s nine members will be in attendance: Xiumin, Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, D.O., and Chanyeol. More details of the event will set to be announced soon.

Kai, one of the EXO Korean members, cannot attend this event due to his mandatory military service, which began in May. Meanwhile, no explanation for Sehun’s omission from the poster was provided. He is, however, scheduled to start serving in the South Korean mandatory military service later this year.

Meanwhile, Lay, the ninth EXO member, has been primarily absent from the group since 2017. Notably, he was not appointed as an ambassador for the company in June alongside the rest of EXO, and most recently, he did not join the boyband for their latest comeback, the full-length album ‘Exist’.

In April 2022, Lay parted ways with SM Entertainment, the longtime label that housed EXO and its remaining members. The vocalist last appeared with the band for a new song release, ‘Don’t Fight the Feeling,’ in 2021.

This meet and greet event is exciting news for their fans, “EXO-L”. This third-generation group was once the most famous boy band in South Korea; in 2013, they broke the record for selling the most albums, one million copies to be exact.
